The Andy Ruenes Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to work with young adults that suffer from life threatening diseases. We try to help them have a better quality of life, increase their faith, and enjoy every minute they have. During Andy’s illness, we (his family) realized how important it was for him to be in good spirit, to have hope, and to have dreams. We want to be there for these patients and help them to look forward to tomorrow. We want them to make small goals that we can accomplish together like celebrating a birthday or a holiday, to hang out with friends, go watch a movie, or just to have a barbecue. In general we will be there for them, not imposing our ideas, but accepting and loving them as they are. We want to help them believe in healing and at the same time help them and their families accept the will of God.    

An angel is a messenger and protector sent from God. "God will command his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will carry you in their arms, and you won’t hurt your feet on the stones. You will overpower the strongest lions and the most deadly snakes.” (Psalms 91: 11-13) As we start our ministry we need volunteers to be those angels that will bring hope and joy to our patients.  We need people committed to this work, not a one-week volunteer, but a life time commitment. We need faithful people that will pray for the ministry, and that will be willing to take the patients to church, healing services, bible classes, or whatever spiritual needs or wants they may have.   

Last, but certainly not least, we need financial support carry on our work. We are a small group that is just starting out. We need many things to help run our office. Among these things are a fax machine, a photo copier, a paper shredder, and any other things you may think of to help us get on our way. We also need to upgrade our computers, and we do not have the financial capacity to do that at the moment. We also need cash donations to help administrate our office. Aside from buying necessary thing such as paper, ink cartridges for our printers, stationary, postage, and more, we need money to help make some of our patients’ dreams come true. Some of our patients have particular needs such as wheelchairs, recliners, air mattresses, or medications not covered by their insurance.
